Last month, Bridge Public Affairs participated in the Permobil Foundation’s annual charity golf fundraiser. As the philanthropic arm of Permobil, the foundation believes that regardless of disability everyone deserves a chance to reach their dreams without limitation. Permobil believes independent mobility is a basic human right and the foundation was created to ensure those who are denied needed equipment can receive access. The Permobil Foundation supports in need users and the local community through in-kind equipment donations, grant funding for program-based needs and scholarships, sponsorship of events, and through employee volunteer opportunities. The foundation is funded through Permobil sales, with a percentage of each sale going directly to the foundation, and through fundraisers like the golf tournament.

"Since the launch of the Permobil Foundation in March 2017, we have supported more than 350 individuals and 250 non-profit organizations. Having partnerships with companies such as Bridge Public Affairs allows us take our mission a step further and reach more individuals with mobility limitations giving them normalcy and the independent life they need and deserve,” said Ashley Davis, Executive Director of Permobil Foundation.

“We couldn’t be more proud of the work of the Permobil Foundation and the transformational impact they are having on so many individuals and families around the country,” said Todd Womack, President and CEO of Bridge Public Affairs. “Innovative initiatives like this one are changing the way that coverage gaps are filled and demonstrating that the generosity of a caring company can redefine the way health care is delivered.”

Through a company foundation, or by being engaged with non-profits in the community, companies like Permobil are not only able to enhance the lives of countless individuals but also prove they are strong corporate citizens. Giving back does not go unrecognized by decision makers in Washington and at state capitals around the country, especially when doing so benefits the very customers the company serves.

Bridge Public Affairs is proud to partner with Permobil and was glad to participate in and sponsor the event. To learn more about the Permobil Foundation, the work they do, and to consider donating, please click here to visit their website.
