With over two decades of experience in federal and state government, Brent Wiles helps Bridge Public Affairs clients achieve their legislative, policy, and relationship-building priorities in Tennessee and Washington, D.C. As a former senior staff member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, he provides expert and actionable guidance to clients engaging in the federal appropriations process.
Brent maintains a deep and active network of highly respected and influential political leaders and senior staff across Tennessee, the U.S. Congress, and federal agencies. These relationships have enabled Bridge clients to secure funding for major projects, impact legislation, and make informed decisions aided by Brent’s insight.
Before helping launch Bridge Public Affairs, Brent served as state director for U.S. Senator Bob Corker, where he was responsible for the Senator’s six offices across Tennessee. As state director, he acted as a liaison between the Senator and state leaders and directly coordinated the Senator’s engagement with stakeholders and constituents across the Volunteer State.
Earlier in his career, Brent worked in numerous roles for former governor and U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander, both in Washington, D.C., and in Tennessee. Serving in various positions, including personal assistant, field representative, and legislative assistant, he ultimately managed a broad portfolio of policy areas for the Senator that included appropriations, energy, environment, conservation, transportation, and infrastructure.
Brent was born and raised in Columbia, Tennessee, and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He lives with his wife and three sons in Nashville.
